Acrylic Clawfoot Tubs

There are many advantages of an acrylic claw foot tub over the traditional cast iron one. Cast iron tubs are bound to get rusted over a period of time and tend t develop cracks. Acrylic on the other hand is as almost as long lasting and is able to bear the wear and tear of use. The use of bath bubbles and bath oils may stain cast iron, but acrylic ones remain free of stains and don’t get chipped. Another interesting part is the cost- cast iron tubs cost a lot more than acrylic. Then, cast iron is a heavy material and that may be matter of concern if your floor is not strong enough to bear the weight. You may need to replace the floor to accommodate the tub.

  1. Besides a freestanding faucet setup, another good way to go is with your facuet mounted directly to the bathroom wall. This can cut down on some of the "clutter" of the plumbing that may not be desired by the homeowner.

When mounted to the wall, the water will pour down directly into the tub, and allow the person bathing to have plenty of room to spread out, without knocking their knees on the faucet.
